How Licenses Work

License Categories

REGULAR License :

 

This license is for the new ABIX users.  It gives you the rights to use ABIX as long as you want, without any monthly or annual fee. It gives you also the rights to install all new versions of ABIX for FREE during the first year of your purchase and thus benefit of all improvements made to ABIX during this period.

UPDATE License :

 

When your 1 year period of free upgrade is terminated, this license gives you the rights to install for free all the new versions of ABIX for an additional year and benefit of all improvements made to ABIX during this year.

 

This license is intended only for the registered ABIX users and is optional. If you don't wish to buy one you just have to stay with the version you are currently using and you will be able to use it as long as you want without any fee, but you won't have access to the new versions of ABIX.

 

License Types

INDIVIDUAL License :

 

This license allows you to use ABIX on more than one computer as long as you are the primary user.   You can then use ABIX on your computer at home and at the office. You can also install it on more than one computer at home but you can not access the data at the same time if you are on a local network.

NETWORK License :

 

This license allows you to use ABIX on a network and is valid for 5 users.  If you have more than 5 users you will have to buy additional licenses to increase the number of authorized users.  For example, you will need to purchase a quantity of 2 network licenses for 10 users, 3 network licenses for 15 users, and so on.

It is better, if possible, to buy the right quantity of license on the same order to get the right number of authorized users.  It is possible to increase the number of authorized users in the future but it requires manual operations.
